In order to conscientiously implement the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress and promote the normalization and institutionalization of the of learning and education of "Two Studies and One Action", on December 29th, 2017, the senior party branch of the master degree of Department of Politics held the thematic meeting named "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind, implement the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress" in Meeting Room 325, North Law&Business Building.
At first, Comrade Wang Jiajie, Secretary of the senior party branch of the master degree of Department of Politics, organized the party members to learn the important speech spirit when General Secretary Xi Jinping led Politburo Standing Committee to pay a visit to First Communist Party Congress conference site, Provisions of the political bureau of the CPC central committee on strengthening and safeguarding the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC central committee, Vol.1&2 of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, Constitution of the Communist Party of China which was recently revised by 19th CPC National Congress,Some guidelines on the political life of the party under the new situation and Regulations on supervision within CPC. He concentrated on the main points, led the party members to master the basic content and requirements and further emphasized that every party member should understand one’s own basic obligations and responsibilities, enhance the activity to learn and improve learning awareness.
After study, Wang reported the situation of annual working, the problems set up by the party branch and the situation of launching criticism and self-criticism from four perspectives including consummating the basic work of building branches, doing the development and management of party members well, completing the central work of university in time and making standards on organizing life meeting. He summarizd the current work mainly had the following problems. The development of collective theory learning activity was not enough and theoretical learning was not deep enough. The standardization of work and conference organization procedures were needed to be improved. The implementation of party building was inadequate and the content and form of organizational life were relatively monotonous. To improve deficiencies in the work, Wang thought that we should raise awareness in the future, innovate the ideological concept of party building, strengthen oversight and inspection and strictly enforce responsibilities, and pursue innovation in work methods, so that the quality of work will be improved.
At last, all the party members of the branch evaluated each other according to the procedures of individual self-assessment, mutual assessment of party members and democratic assessment. Each party member comrade carefully examined his own problems and the problems of the branch members from four aspects: political qualification, execution discipline qualification, moral character qualification and performance qualification. Synthesizing on the content of self-assessment and mutual assessment of party members, the problems mainly focused on the following aspects. On ideology, the party's theoretical learning was insufficient, the initiative and planning were not strong enough, and the connection theory and reality was not enough. On action, many comrades were less motivated to take part in collective learning and organizational life as they were entering the stage of hunting graduation job and writing thesis, slacking in their own requirements. On life, the communication with classmates and teachers was not enough, and the leading role should be strengthened. Recognizing their own problems, all comrades pledged to take their shortcomings seriously and correct them as soon as possible.
Through project party life meeting and democratic council, it further strengthened the exchange and understanding between the branch committee and the members, clarified the deficiencies in the branch committee and the defects of individual party members, which helped each member comrade to treat seriously and correct the problem in time, prompted to have original aspirations of self-perception, self-understanding, self-purification, self-practice at the level of party branch member individual. It might further strengthen the party's concept and improve the party's character accomplishment in order to give full play to the role of the party branch as a fighting fortress and a leading role for party members.
